Privacy
Plain English version. The legal version is the same thing in more words.
What we collect
- Your account info
- Email address (so you can sign in and we can email you about your account), chosen username, and password (stored hashed, we can't read it).
- Your posts and replies
- The content you write, the timestamp, and the reactions and replies on it. If you posted anonymously, we don't show your username next to the post - but the database still associates the post with your account so you can edit or delete it.
- Basic technical logs
- IP address and browser user-agent on each request, kept for up to 30 days, used only to debug problems and stop abuse.
What we don't collect
- Trackers from advertisers or analytics platforms
- No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Mixpanel, no Hotjar. We don't sell or share data with any third party.
- Your real name, phone number, or location
- We never ask for these. If you put them in a post or a reply, that's on you (and the guidelines ask you not to).
- Cross-site browsing behavior
- No cookies that follow you across other websites. The cookies we use are described on the cookies page and are limited to your session here.
Your data is yours
You can export everything we have on you from the settings page. You can delete your account from the settings page; deletion removes your posts, replies, and account data within 30 days. If you want a copy of your data after deletion, export it first.
